The network in Debian is configured /etc/network/interfaces.d/. For complete documentation, see Debian's documentation here
Some common examples are shown below.
DHCP on eth0:
tee /etc/network/interfaces.d/eth0 <<EOF >/dev/null
auto eth0
allow-hotplug eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp
EOF
Static IP on eth0:
