TS-8551-powersupply

The TS-8551 has flexible input voltage range and connector options. Power can be supplied either as 5 VDC or 8-28 VDC using either screw terminals or a barrel plug.

Barrel Jack

The barrel jack, marked CN3, can be supplied with 8-28 VDC input. Note that while the silkscreen lists 12 V, it can indeed be used for the full input range. The barrel jack is a center-pin-positive 5.5 mm OD, 2.1 mm ID coaxial power connector. The TS-8551 can optionally be ordered with a compatible power supply. See the power input specifications section for more details on this input

Screw Terminal

Located near the barrel jack is a 3 pin screw terminal input. The pins accept ground, 8-28 VDC input, and 5 VDC input. It is important that only one of the positive voltage input pins are connected. It is also important to note that the 5 VDC input cannot accept greater than 5 VDC input. See the power input specifications section for more details on this input. The pins are labeled on the PCB silkscreen. The screw terminal connector can be lifted vertically off the PCB if needed. The TS-8551 can optionally be ordered with a compatible power supply, but each PCB ships with the screw terminal connector populated regardless.
